Up The Yard 2017

What’s in store for the Up The Yard Stud and Stable Staff appreciation day on Saturday 18th November at the Punchestown Winter Festival?
In addition to free admission, live music, party food, DJ, hospitality zone and coach transfer to Naas after racing the following will take place:

Up The Yard Challenge Race

A total of sixteen riders will take part in a race over one mile and about seven furlongs. This will be the final race on the card at approx. 3.45pm. Many thanks to TRI Equestrian who have generously sponsored the prize of €3,000 for the staff in the yard of the winning rider and a further €100 for each of the sixteen competitors.

• Stable Staff National – A test of accuracy and speed involving horse shoe tossing, egg and spoon and a hobby horse sprint (parade ring)
• Best Turned Out Showdown – A battle of the best in the turn out discipline against the clock using miniature equine models (Parade)
• SingALong Battle – Every yard has a popstar so it’s time to shine in a singalong battle lip sync/karaoke style (Sports Bar)
• Murphs Minute Quiz – HRI’s Martin Murphy will test the mind in a quiz with a mix of general knowledge, pop culture and the odd racing question (Sports Bar)
• Tag Team Twister – Flexability and team work are the name of the game (Sports Bar)
• Full Of Bull – the classic rodeo bull challenge. Who can sit tight longest? (Sports Bar)
• Best Turned Out – Prizes for the most appropriately dressed lady and gent. (sports Bar)

Stable staff can access the track with their AIR card, however, as it is important that all team members from yards attend we are happy to send additional tickets in advance.
