NON - FESTIVAL Bus Service
Unfortunately due to fluctuating demand we no longer operate a direct coach service to Punchestown outside of the festival dates. Any exceptions to this will be notified via Twitter and Facebook but please feel free to contact the Punchestown office should you have any queries.
We would suggest that a bus to Naas (2 miles from racecourse) and a taxi from one of the two ranks on the main street is the best option. There is a very helpful website called www.gethere.ie that can assist in your transport query. The following companies operate services from Dublin City centre to Naas main street:
Marathon Coaches have been operating festival buses from Aston Quay in Dublin for over 10years. The service is direct from Dublin City centre and travel time in normal traffic is 1 hour. The return bus ticket can be purchased from €20 online up to 9am on each day of the races. Walk up fares are available on the day with a cost of €25 return. Buses return each evening from the pick up point at the races after the last race and depart when the buses are full.
For more information please see the Marathon Travel FAQ section on their webpage.
Shuttle Bus Service
There will be shuttle buses ran before racing from Poplar Square in Naas Town Centre and returning back to Naas after the last race. This is purely a walk-up service and can be purchased on the day.
Irish Rail operate a service from Dublin's Heuston Station to Sallins (just outside Naas). During the festival there will be a shuttle bus service in operation which will transfer passengers to Poplar Square in Naas for free. From there the raceday bus will collect (from €5) or a taxi direct to the track should be around €10 - €15.
